Who we are
Aptocoiner Technologies Private Limited is an India-based traffic data collection and analysis company, founded in 2013 and based in Kolkata & Hyderabad, India. Our clients are transportation consultancies, traffic survey firms, data providers and public agencies — mostly in the United States, with work also across the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and India.
We are deliberately narrow. We do not write traffic impact studies, we do not seal drawings and we do not compete with our clients for engineering work. We process survey data: turning movement counts, parking occupancy, pedestrian movement, queues, saturation flow, cycle movements, bus journey times and footfall. That boundary is the reason consultancies are comfortable sending us their projects.
How we work, and why it is manual
Our counting is done by trained analysts working from video, not by a detection model running unattended. That is a choice, and it costs more per hour than automation would.
The reason is that automated detection degrades exactly where the analysis matters most. Dense mixed traffic, heavy occlusion, rain, night conditions and congested cycles are the periods that drive a capacity result — and they are the periods where computer vision is least reliable. When an agency reviewer questions a number in an appendix, the answer needs to be a person who can point at the footage, not a confidence score.
Working from video rather than in the field adds three things a live field count cannot offer: the footage is auditable if a number is disputed, it is re-analysable so one recording can yield several datasets, and it is pausable so a congested cycle gets reviewed rather than estimated.
What you can expect
- 24 to 48 hour turnaround on standard intersection counts once we have usable footage and a specification.
- Your format, not ours. Send your Excel template and the counts arrive ready for your analysis, with your approach naming and movement conventions.
- An honest answer about footage. If a camera position makes an accurate count impossible, we say so before invoicing rather than after.
- The same team on your projects. Analysts who learn your conventions stay on your work, which is why long-running clients need less specification over time.
- A named contact. You deal with the same people, not a ticket queue.
Capacity
One of our clients transferred an evaluation workload of around 500 traffic counts a year to us. Volume of that kind is routine, and it is the practical argument for outsourcing: a pipeline spike becomes a scheduling question for us instead of a hiring decision or a slipped deliverable date for you.

Our office is at Infinity Benchmark, #611, Plot G1, Block GP, Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata 700091, India. The time difference works in our clients' favour more often than not: footage sent at the end of a US working day is frequently processed before the next one begins.
